Using your Holiday Lights for Everyday Decor
Most of us have a box of holiday decorations stored somewhere in the attic or basement. Until the holidays roll in, these don’t really see much of the outside world. However, those little lights that you commonly wrap around your Christmas tree or place on your window panel are actually useful when it comes to decorating your space. If you invested on a good set, like the ones made with durable LED bulbs, they can last you a very long time. Here are a few design tips that let you use your holiday lights.
Garden Lighting If you want to give your garden or outdoor area more light and also want it to look amazing, use your holiday lights. Wrap these around a tree trunk or hang a few of them from the branches. Use them as guide lights to help keep the path well lit. Place them around garden furniture to really highlight them. you can do a lot with these lights outdoors, and since they’re commonly outdoor friendly, you won’t have to worry about them getting destroyed so easily.
Low Lights for your Bedroom For a dim-lit effect, your holiday lights can give your room some light, but not too much that it can become too bright. Since these lights also come in a variety of colors, you can use them as accent lighting in your bedroom. Run them across a shelf or the door way to highlight the area, make things stand out with them.
Kid’s Room One of the best things about these lights is that you can get really creative when using them. LEDs are perfect for a child’s room, not just because they’re colorful and give out a magical look, but because of how they don’t produce as much heat as other types of light bulbs.
