Can LEDs help ward off mosquitoes and fight off malaria? Research has shown that insects are less attracted to the light from special LEDs

A study published by "The Royal Society" shows that insects like mosquitoes were significantly less attracted to customized LED lights than fluorescents. Researchers say providing LED lighting in areas where glass windows and screens are less common could help repel the insects. According to the World Health Organization there were 198 million cases of malaria in 2013 killing nearly 584,000 people. Continue reading
