Harrisburg City Council Debating over New LEDs


Harrisburg, Pennsylvania city council is now pushing for the approval for new LED light to replace current street lights. Mayor Eric Papenfuse says that these bulbs can help cut power cost and save the city a lot of money. Continue reading at wgal.com.  

HARRISBURG, Pa. —The Harrisburg City Council was hoping to approve plans for new efficient street lighting on Tuesday night, but the vote did not happen.  There are thousands of lights across the city that are going to be replaced with new energy-efficient LED lights.But council member Sandra Reid says she needs more information before she goes along with the plan. President Wanda Williams said Reid's had seven weeks during council's summer recess to look at the contracts.
