Cocoons from Silkworms Lights Up LEDs
A recent study on silkworm cocoons where found to be capable of developed electricity. In fact a small LED bulb can be lit up with them.
New Delhi: In near future it may be possible to run low power electronic devices like LED bulbs by using silk worm cocoons as an Indian scientist have developed electricity from them.'Electricity from silk cocoon membranes', a research study, was recently published in scientific reports of Nature journal.
A small LED bulb could be powered by using this system and we have already given the concept details, said one of the researchers, Sushil Kumar Singh. By introducing modifications and increasing the surface area the power could be expanded, Singh added. Continue reading at Bhaskar.
