Town of Chenango, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A local school district will conserve energy and cut costs. The Chenango Forks district will install LED lighting systems in all district buildings. In addition to reducing electricity costs, officials say LED lights are easier on the eyes.  The lights can be adjusted by staff as necessary. "Let's say a teacher is teaching a lesson in front of the classroom and they need a certain amount of light," LLoyd Peck, district superintendent, said. "You can adjust that light in front of the classroom.
If you're doing something in the back of the room where not as much light is needed, you can adjust the light back there as well."
